Department of Mechanical and System Engineering hosted the 19th International Symposium on Advanced Mechanical and Power Engineering (ISAMPE 2019)at Bunkyo Campus in collaboration with the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) in China and Pukyong National University (PKNU) in Korea during 12th to 15th December 2019. This symposium was held to promote collaborative research in the field of Mechanical and System Engineering.
On December 13th, an opening remark was given by Prof. Nagai Niro and was followed by Prof. Wu Wei Dong, USST and Prof. Kim Sang Bong, PKNU delivering an address of thanks. Malaysian University of Sabah joined the symposium for the first time this year, and so Prof. Kim Seock Sam in his speech introduced his university with a video.
Prof. Cai Xiao Shu, USST, showed some photos to explain the history of the academic exchanges among University of Fukui, USST and PKNU with ISAMPE. The symposium was successfully closed with the expectations for further development in the future. It was announced that ISAMPE2020 will be held at UMT in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Prof. Kim Seock Sam, UMT introduced the campus with a passionate message to the participants, “We put a lot of efforts on preserving the tropical forests, and
I’d love to invite all of you to our nature filled campus.”
The bond among the participating universities deepened through the presentations, poster sessions and technical tours by graduate students.
