Faculty of Medical Sciences, UF concluded the Academic Agreement with the Vietnam NHDV

On November 23^rd of 2023, the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Fukui (UF) concluded the Academic Agreement with the Vietnam National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology (NHDV).

Located in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, the hospital is one of the leading medical facilities in the country that receives patients with skin diseases from all over Vietnam. NHDV is also known to be an active research institution.

This agreement was made possible through the collaboration between Professor Doanh Le Huu, the director of the hospital, and Professor HASEGAWA Minoru, who was conducting research at the same hospital as him when he was studying in Japan. And this has now developed into an exchange of researchers between the institutions, and the agreement has been concluded.

?Upon signing the agreement, Dean, Professor FUJIEDA Shigeharu of the Faculty of Medical Sciences said, ¡°This is the first international agreement with Vietnam in the field of dermatology. We would like to accelerate Vietnam-Japan joint research by increasing the flow of members, form UF to NHDV, and from NHDV to UF¡±. Professor Hasegawa, who is the contact person for this agreement, expressed his enthusiasm for the exchange, saying, ¡°With the conclusion of this agreement, we hope to deepen the exchange of researchers, including mutual exchange of students, and to link this to mutual clinical research and medical education¡±. We hope that this agreement will lead to mutual exchange of students and researchers, and to mutual clinical research and medical education.
