(1) University Recommendation

In the scheme of the University Recommendation, our university will conduct the preliminary selection for research, master’s, doctoral, a professional graduate course at a graduate school, or Japanese studies students and recommend their candidates to MEXT. In principle, research students who do not intend to enter a regular course (master’s or doctoral program) are not eligible to apply for university recommendation. Only applicants from countries or regions that have concluded exchange agreements with our university or have a history of exchange with the recommended faculty members of our university and are on the list of priority regions designated by the MEXT are eligible to apply.

Research Students

At the University of Fukui, research students will participate in research activities as a non-degree-seeking student for the first 6-12 months. During this period, they are expected to apply for a master’s, doctoral, or professional-degree program.
